Our 18 popular charity shops rely on the support of volunteers. Our charity shop volunteers play a crucial role in all of our charity shops and make a significant contribution towards their success.
We are always looking for enthusiastic and reliable volunteers who can commit to volunteering in our shops for a minimum of four hours per week for at least three months.
The role is varied and can include sorting stock, operating tills and handling cash, working on the shop floor and dealing with customers.
Volunteering in our charity shops presents a fantastic opportunity to gain new skills and experiences and to enhance your CV and employment prospects whilst meeting new people from a diverse range of backgrounds.
'I can instantly see the results of the efforts of fellow workers and myself, whether it is giving fashion advice to a customer or sorting through donations that will enable a person to have the clothes to attend a job interview, to keep warm or just to feel happy that they have brought something that makes them feel good. Having contact with such a large community demographic has given me a great sense of commensal achievement. I have met volunteers from many walks of like and age groups, including teachers, artists, students and people finding a way back into employment.'
