Thank you Michael & Angus

Michael Johnson

On May 29th Michael Johnson, aged 75, aims to run the Vitality London 10K race in under an hour to raise money for our work with younger people.

Michael is just one of the many dedicated people we are grateful to for regularly giving us their time and support. His involvement with Octavia has spanned an incredible 35 years (as a Board member of Octavia Hill Housing Trust, which later merged to create the Octavia we know today, and subsequently a Trustee of the Octavia Foundation).

Michael’s efforts will help to buy industry-standard equipment for our new digital hub, Base@theReed, which will enable us to work with even more young people through projects like Waking the Dead or digital media training sessions.

You can help him reach his target. Michael is offering a bottle of champagne to the person who guesses closest to his finishing time. You can guess his time when you make your donation at www.justgiving.com/fundraising/ Michael-Johnson22

Michael will be following hot on the heels of Angus Taylor, current Octavia Board member, who ran the Vitality North London half marathon in March and raised over £1,000 for us.

A big ‘thank you’ to both Angus and Michael.

Could you be next?

We always appreciate fundraising efforts. However large or small, they help us to continue supporting younger, older, and vulnerable people.
