Volunteer youth worker

Last year, the Octavia Foundation’s youth programme worked with over 120 young people, children aged 6-12 and older children aged 13+. All of our activities for young people and children operate from BASE, our creative and cultural club for young people in Pimlico.

We are currently looking for volunteer youth workers to support activities at BASE and to support our team on other projects throughout the year.

We need fun, dynamic and enthusiastic people to commit to volunteering one evening a month to work with our group of young people aged 6-21.

Our volunteer youth workers play an integral role in helping to facilitate our youth work sessions, including supporting activities such as cooking, media and music workshops, and providing general support and guidance for the young people.

Our volunteers always work alongside experienced youth workers and have lots of opportunities to learn and gain valuable experience. You do not have to have formal qualifications to apply to become a volunteer youth worker, but some experience of interacting with young people is essential. Please read the full role profile below before applying.
