We recently received a grant of £50,000 from the Heritage Lottery Fund to run a heritage film project involving 20 local young people making a film and publishing a magazine about four local Hidden Heroes.

This is the follow up project to another Heritage Lottery Funded project, Grove Roots.

The Octavia Foundation is delighted to announce that it has been selected as "Charity of the Year" by several west London branches of Sainsburys.

This is the first "Charity of the Year" initiative from Sainsburys who are looking to work in partnership with a range of community based local charities.

For the Octavia Foundation this is a great opportunity to follow up Sainsbury's sponsorship of the 2008 Xmas party for local elderly people in Kensington & Chelsea. Early meetings with Sainsbury's staff suggest their support will extend into supporting other projects in the coming year as well.
